Howard “Howie” Fenton, NAPL, Senior Consultant (www.howiefenton.com)
Author, trainer and consultant Howie Fenton has worked with commercial and in-plant companies nationwide for the past two decades. He audits 30 companies a year, has a client list of over 500 companies and is reputed to have never analyzed a workflow or production strategy he could not improve. He works with both commercial printers and in-plant reprographics departments offering workflow, make vs. buy in-plant audits and strategic analysis. As a consultant, Fenton specializes in digital printing, digital workflows, and the strategic management of in-plant and commercial printers. He is a judge for the PODI (Print On Demand Initiative) Best Practices in Digital Print awards, and has worked on the PIA/GATF Digital Printing Council as well as HP Digital Printing Advisory Council. Besides presentations at national and international graphic arts shows, Fenton has been on national tours including: Apple Power Tools for Publishing, Agfa Across America, Banta Technovation, PIA Orientation to the Graphic Arts, and Xerox Innovate. He has taught advanced computer graphics at Montclair University, NJ, and taught the Computer to Plate, Digital Printing and PDF Workflows at the Rochester Institute of Technology School of Printing. In addition to more than 300 magazine articles, he has authored five books on digital printing, scanning, color management, and digital technologies. He writes for the NAPL Business Review and is frequently featured in national trade and business magazines.

Jake Lefebure is a co-founding partner and president of Design Army. As the principal project leader, he oversees new business and creative development for all of the studio's accounts. Jake has guided award-winning designs for a variety of clients — from local retail boutiques to international live productions such as: Disney, Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus, University of Virginia, Signature Theatre, Washington Ballet, and the Washingtonian. In 2008, Jake was named by Graphic Design USA as one of the top 50 People to Watch and his creativity has been featured in every notable design publication, including Communication Arts, Graphis, HOW, Print, Step, Novum (Germany), Coupe (Canada) and Art4D (Thailand), as well as judging design competitions and lecturing at design events and universities. Jake graduated with a BA in Graphic Design from Penn State University, and is the recipient of the 2009 College of Arts and Architecture Alumni Award.
